UAB TeleTower was founded in November 2009 when it was decided to separate all activities related to the lease of telecommunication towers and sites from the main activity of Bitė Lietuva – provisioning of telecommunication services.
In such a way TeleTower became an independent company with the main goal - by effective management and development of telecommunication towers infrastructure in Lithuania to provide competitive services to all market players in the country.
At the same time the company SIA TeleTower was founded in Latvia with similar services as UAB TeleTower in Lithuania.
UAB TeleTower as an independent supplier has been rapidly developing its business of towers and sites lease. Since the summer of 2011 UAB TeleTower has been the sole supplier of towers infrastructure not only for Bitė Lietuva mobile network but also for TETRA standard digital radio communication network , operated by Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania.
UAB TeleTower is also one of the main suppliers of tower infrastructure to other mobile operators in Lithuania - Omnitel and Tele2. Among others TeleTower also provide tower infrastructure to WiMax networks operators such as Lithuanian Radio and Television Centre (LRTC) with its Mezon service and Balticum TV.
